When Rug Doctor switched to Dataprise GDV, that’s when they really came into a real disaster recovery solution. At the time, Rug Doctor had 30 servers running in their server environment – over 3 million transactions a year.

When a tornado came over just outside St. Louis, Rug Doctor’s 150,000 sq. ft warehouse was in its path. The tornado actually caused such a vacuum that it pulled in the walls of the offices towards the center of the building.

Rug Doctor lost its computer room at that point and that’s when Bill Ellis called Dataprise GDV. Probably within two hours Dataprise GDV had all four of Rug Doctor’s servers spun up in a virtual environment. This allowed Rug Doctor to access their data quickly.
